CIB Egypt has marked its 50th anniversary with the launch of the CIB Egypt Business Excellence Awards, held in partnership with MEED at the Four Seasons Hotel Cairo. The programme highlights leadership, innovation and operational performance across a broad range of industries as Egypt accelerates efforts to boost competitiveness and private-sector growth.
The awards were divided into four groups — Women in Leadership, Nation-Building & Public Good, Transformation & Innovation, and Sector Excellence — reflecting the areas CIB sees as central to Egypt’s long-term economic development. Honours ranged from sustainability and localisation to education, energy, healthcare, logistics, export performance and digital transformation.
Winners included established corporates and emerging businesses, underlining how a wide spectrum of organisations is contributing to Egypt’s economic transition. Judges noted the growing emphasis on sustainability, digital solutions, and operational efficiency as private-sector priorities.
The awards form part of its broader commitment to supporting Egypt’s economic transformation as it enters its sixth decade of operations. The bank’s leadership emphasised the importance of recognising companies that demonstrate resilience, innovation and responsible growth.
