Investcorp Capital, the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange-listed investment company founded by Bahrain-based Investcorp, has acquired a diversified portfolio of US industrial assets for about $400m.
The 2.6 million-square-foot portfolio comprises 35 buildings across seven coastal markets in the eastern and western US and is 97% occupied. Investcorp arranged the transaction on behalf of Investcorp Capital, which trades on the ADX under the symbol ICAP.
The assets include infill industrial properties in Philadelphia, northern New Jersey and Long Island, New York, together totalling more than 200,000 square feet, as well as a 1.3 million-square-foot logistics portfolio in Sacramento, California. The deal also covers infill industrial portfolios in Tampa and South Florida, and a light industrial portfolio in North Atlanta of about 814,000 square feet.
Investcorp Capital positions itself as the only ADX-listed platform offering investors access to returns from a globally diversified book of alternative investments. Over the past 12 months, it has exited several holdings, including US-based RESA Power and India’s Citykart, while committing capital to new private equity, real estate and credit deals.
